.SH NAME
lctl-lqa-remove \- remove a range of quota IDs from a Lustre Quota ID Aggregate
.SH SYNOPSIS
.SY "lctl lqa remove"
.BI --fsname " FSNAME"
.BI --name " LQANAME"
.BI --range " START-END"
.YS
.SH DESCRIPTION
Remove a range of quota IDs from an existing Lustre Quota ID Aggregate
(LQA) with the name
.I LQANAME
in the filesystem named
.IR FSNAME .
The
.B lctl lqa remove
command must be run on the MDS0 node by the root user.
.P
The
.B --range
parameter specifies a range of quota IDs (ProjIDs, UIDs, or GIDs) to
remove from the LQA in the format
.B START-END
where both
.I START
and
.I END
are numeric quota IDs. For example,
.B --range 100000-149999
removes all quota IDs from 100000 to 149999 (inclusive) from the LQA.
.P
Only the specified range is removed. Other ranges in the same LQA remain
unchanged. If the specified range does not exist in the LQA, the command
will fail with an error.
.P
.B NOTE:
Removing a range from an LQA does not automatically remove individual ID
quotas that were set within that range. Administrators should ensure that
individual quotas are cleaned up separately if needed.
.SH EXAMPLES
Remove a portion of a tenant's ProjID range:
.EX
mds0# lctl lqa remove --fsname lfs02 --name tenant1 --range 150000-159999
.EE
.PP
Remove an entire range from an LQA:
.EX
mds0# lctl lqa remove --fsname lfs02 --name tenant1 --range 100000-149999
.EE
